Margo assumed the helm of 1031 CORP. in 1994. She is a Certified Exchange Specialist® (CES®) with nearly three decades of experience in the 1031 exchange industry. She has been involved in exchange transactions nationwide of various sizes and complexities involving real and personal property, including delayed, reverse, and improvement exchanges. Margo is a respected author and presenter who regularly presents seminars and continuing education courses to educate investors, business owners, and advisors on the benefits of 1031 tax-deferred exchanges.
Margo’s extensive work on behalf of the 1031 exchange industry includes spearheading efforts to launch a national certification and continuing education program for exchange practitioners and serving as founding chair of the Certified Exchange Specialist® (CES®) Certification Council of the Federation of Exchange Accommodators (FEA), the national trade association for exchange practitioners. She also served on the FEA Board of Directors for nearly twenty years. She is also a past president of the FEA and a current member of the Government Affairs Committee. In 2003, she was awarded the first FEA President’s Award, and in 2008, she was honored with “The Margo McDonnell Certified Exchange Specialist® Perpetual Award for Outstanding Service” by the CES® Certification Council.
She is the affiliate director of the Tri-County Suburban REALTORS® and previously served on the Board of Directors of the Suburban West REALTORS® Association. She also serves on the Advisory Council of their Commercial Chapter. In 2016, she was invited to become a member of The Counselors of Real Estate.

Marissa joined our exchange team in 2004 and was awarded the “Rookie of the Year” award for her positive attitude and willingness to learn. Marissa is a paralegal and Certified Exchange Specialist® (CES®). After facilitating thousands of like-kind exchanges, she was named Director of Operations in 2016. Marissa served on the CES® Certification Council from 2010 – 2018 including a term as co-chair. In 2019, Marissa was elected to the Federation of Exchange Accommodators (FEA) Board of Directors and will serve a 3-year term. She earned her Bachelor of Science from the University of Delaware and a paralegal certificate from Peirce College. She is based in our Collegeville, Pennsylvania headquarters.
Laura serves as General Counsel for 1031 CORP., and Vice President of Reverse 1031 CORP. Laura counsels 1031 CORP. with legal matters, operations, strategic direction, and business development and leads our reverse exchange business at Reverse 1031 CORP. She has an extensive legal background in real estate transactions, land use, construction disputes, compliance, and civil litigation, and her expertise in real estate and development and I.R.C. Section 1031 gives her unique capabilities to serve clients.
Laura joined 1031 CORP. in 2019 and returned in 2024 after two years at a Coeur d’Alene law firm. She previously served as 1031 CORP.'s Vice President and Regional Manager for the Pacific Northwest. She has experience in real estate development and is an admitted attorney in Arizona, Idaho, and Oregon. Laura graduated from the Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law at Arizona in 2013 with her juris doctorate. She obtained her Bachelor of Science degree from California State Polytechnic University, San Luis Obispo.
Jennifer is the Branch Manager of the Bend office and also serves as an Exchange Officer. She joined 1031 CORP. after working as a real estate broker and in title and escrow. Jen utilizes her knowledge of the real estate sale and closing process to ensure our 1031 CORP. clients have a smooth exchange experience. She has a passion for wanting to partner with clients to help them accomplish their investment goals with a personal approach. Jen also spent many years in healthcare, coordinating and supervising daily operations, quality metrics, development, compliance, and staffing support. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Business and Healthcare Management from Western Governors University.
Lisabeth oversees exchange operations as Branch Manager for 1031 CORP.’s Collegeville, Pennsylvania office. In 2015, Cindi returned to 1031 CORP. where she previously worked from 2006 to 2009 as an Exchange Officer. As a former licensed Pennsylvania REALTOR®, Cindi has intimate knowledge of the real estate industry and knowledge of closing practices. This is very beneficial to her clients as well as the allied professionals she works with on a daily basis. Cindi consults with exchangers and their professional advisors to ensure all parties are working towards the common goal—a successful exchange. Cindi earned her Certified Exchange Specialist® (CES®) designation in May of 2019.

Grace joined the 1031 CORP. team in 2017. She utilizes her administrative and managerial experience to keep the exchange process easy for her clients. Grace earned a Bachelor of Science from Cabrini College and is based in our Collegeville, Pennsylvania branch office.
Kristen joined the 1031 CORP. team in 2018. Kristen’s prior experience includes working as a Logistics Management Specialist for the Department of Defense. Kristen earned a Bachelor of Arts and MBA from LaSalle University. She is based in our Collegeville, Pennsylvania branch office.
Prior to joining 1031 CORP., Sabrina spent 13 years in the 1031 exchange industry, including as the principal in a company facilitating reverse and improvement exchanges. For many of these years, Sabrina was a partner in a qualified intermediary, where she gained a wealth of knowledge on Section 1031 and their application and enjoyed helping clients accomplish their investment objectives. Sabrina is a graduate of Penn State University with a Bachelor of Science degree and spent many years in Human Services, as a counselor and Career Coach, before finding 1031 exchanges.
In 2023, Chad returned to 1031 CORP. where he had previously worked from 2002 to 2006 as an Exchange Officer. Chad brings with him a diverse knowledge and experience base. He is a Widener University Delaware Law School graduate with his Juris doctorate in law. Chad has been a law clerk for the Bradford County Court of Common Pleas, a co-owner of an international franchise organization, a title clerk for a regional title agency and has experience in retail banking and lending. His knowledge and expertise benefit his clients and their professional advisors as they work through the exchange process intending to keep the experience simple and understandable. He enjoys working with his clients and their advisors, with the ultimate goal of a successful exchange.
Gabbie joined the 1031 CORP. Team after working for a title company processing refinance packages for many lenders and assisting with customer service escalation. This experience made the transition to facilitating 1031 exchanges seamless. Gabbie earned a bachelor’s degree in management form Bloomsburg University.
Katie joined 1031 CORP after many years in health care. Katie’s extensive administrative and client management experience gives her strong attention to detail and compliance, excellent multitasking abilities, and effective communication skills that create a smooth and positive exchange experience. She is based out of our Collegeville, Pennsylvania branch office.
Yahaira joined the 1031 CORP. Exchange Team in 2022. Prior to joining 1031 CORP., she spent many years working for a title company as a sales customer support representative. Yahaira supported six business development advisors and a portfolio of attorneys and title companies. She brings a strong background in customer service and attention to detail to the 1031 CORP. Exchange Team. From 2004 – 2007, she supported a 1031 Exchange Team at another Qualified Intermediary. Yahaira works remotely from Florida for the Collegeville, Pennsylvania branch office.
Ryan joined the 1031 CORP. Exchange Team after serving as a leasing specialist at a property management company. His experience in sales, client services, and documentation has equipped him to adeptly serve clients and navigate the intricacies of exchanges. He holds a bachelor's degree in telecommunications from The Pennsylvania State University. Ryan supports delayed exchanges and reverse exchanges as part of Team Grace.
Noah’s experience with a title company and national lender brings him an understanding of parties and processes in the industry. He served as a point of contact with clients, investors, real estate professionals, and lenders. Noah understands the needs of real estate investors and how 1031 exchanges benefit his clients. Noah holds a degree in history from Millersville University in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. Noah supports Team Kristen.

Tawnee joined the 1031 CORP. Bend Exchange Team in November of 2020. Originally from San Diego, California, Tawnee lived in Reno for a few years prior to making Bend, Oregon home in February 2020. Tawnee is an Enlisted member of the Nevada Army National Guard, where she serves at a Paralegal Specialist.

After nearly 24 years, Sue retired from the day-to-day operations of 1031 CORP. on March 31, 2020 but will continue to assist with consulting, employee training, business development and strategic initiatives. She remains an officer, director and shareholder of 1031 CORP. and our sister company, Reverse 1031 CORP. She joined 1031 CORP. in 1996 with over a decade of title experience, and was involved in thousands of like-kind transactions nationwide of various size and complexity and has presented countless 1031 exchange seminars and continuing education courses. In 2003, she was among the first in the 1031 exchange industry to earn her Certified Exchange Specialist® (CES®) designation offered through the our national trade association, Federation of Exchange Accommodators (FEA). Sue is among an elite group of exchange professionals nationwide who hold this coveted designation. Sue served on the CES® Certification Council for several years. |
Bettye has been a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) since 1982, and is currently licensed in Maryland. She has an excellent foundation in the income tax issues of Real Estate transactions. During the mid 1980's she was on the faculty of the University of Maryland Conferences and Seminars Division, where she facilitated three-day seminars on the effects of Federal and State Income Tax on Real Estate transactions for real estate brokers licensed in Maryland. Author of “The 1031 Handbook,” she was the president of Exchange Professionals, Inc. when it partnered with 1031 CORP. in 2011. Bettye serves as a consultant for 1031 CORP and is based in Maryland.
Rich is a practicing attorney in Media with an extensive practice in real estate and formerly president of R.E.I. Consultants, Ltd., a 1031 qualified intermediary company. He serves as an instructor and lecturer on real estate topics throughout the country. He is a past chair of the Real Property, Probate and Trust Law Section of the Pennsylvania Bar Association and is a fellow of the American College of Real Estate Lawyers. He was Resource Counsel to the Standard Forms Committee of the Pennsylvania Association of Realtors. He is a member and former vice chair of the American Bar Association Purchase and Sale of Residential Real Estate Committee of the Real Property, Probate and Trust law Section and a member of the ABA’s Section of Taxation, Committee on Sales, Exchange and Basis. Rich serves as an advisor to the Joint State Government Commission (Real Estate Tax Force) of the Pennsylvania General Assembly, and is an Adjunct Professor in the Master of Science Tax program at Philadelphia University.
He is a member of the American, Pennsylvania and Delaware County Bar Associations. He has been named a Pennsylvania Super Lawyer for 2004 through 2011, in the field of real estate. Rich received his B.S. from West Chester University and his J.D. from Villanova University School of Law.
Sanna founded 1031 Asset Exchange in 2003. In April 2014, 1031 CORP. acquired the assets of 1031 Asset Exchange and Sanna joined the 1031 CORP. Exchange Team. In October 2017, Sanna officially retired and in November 2017, she and her husband, Chuck, finally realized their dream and relocated to a lovely town in the south of France.
