During our twenty-seven year history, 1031 CORP. has maintained a strong commitment to educate real estate investors and their professional advisors on Section 1031 like-kind exchanges and their many benefits.  As a team, our exchange professionals have probably averaged 80+ seminars, webinars and continuing education courses each year.  Our subject matter experts strive to educate investors, business owners and their professional advisors about this often overlooked tax strategy and the ease in which they can be accomplished.  In addition to discussing the numerous benefits of 1031 tax-deferred exchanges, we clarify numerous misconceptions, review the requirements of a successful exchange and explain the role of the Qualified Intermediary.

While Section 1031 can seem very complicated when first learning about it, the presentations developed by 1031 CORP. focus on simplifying the exchange process so more investors and business owners understand them and will take advantage of them.  For many years, the 1031 CORP. motto has been “keeping the exchange process simple for you” and we start with educating our exchange clients before the process even starts.  On the first Thursday of each month, 1031 CORP. presents a 45-minute webinar titled “1031 Exchanges Made Easy” to provide an overview of 1031 exchanges.  They are presented at 12 pm Eastern / 11 am Central / 10 am Mountain / 9 am Pacific and you can register any time on our website.

This Friday Free for All also shares information on 1031 CORP.’s Speakers Bureau and how you can request that one of our expert speakers educate your group on 1031 exchanges.  Our Speaker Bureau features presenters with expert knowledge of Section 1031 and related tax law through a number of presentation offerings, including:

    • IRC § 1031 Tax-Deferred Exchanges – Basic and Advanced
    • 1031 Exchanges and Related Party Transactions

    • Current Trends in 1031
    • 1031 Exchanges and Commercial Real Estate

Our speakers frequently present to a wide variety of audiences including accountants and CPAs, attorneys, real estate professionals, appraisers, title and escrow officers and financial advisors as well as civic groups, such as Rotary Clubs and Lions International, and real estate investor groups.  They have presented seminars and continuing education courses throughout the United States both in person and via web. Presentations are tailored to each specific group’s needs and written handouts and PowerPoint presentations can be provided.
